Message: I’ll preface this with I love this surplus store. Been a customer for years. This is an old school army navy surplus. You need used boots, this is the place to go. Po Been about 16 months since I last visited. Walked in yesterday, wearing a mask, and loudly listened to (starting the moment I walked in) a prolonged diatribe to other customers regarding mask wearing and it being a personal choice. I have zero problem with that. You do you, man. I’ve spent the last year of my life taking care of the absolutely sickest of the sick Covid patients across the entire state. Fair enough they had no idea. But as I proceeded to check out ($300+ of things) I made it a point to say “I came here specifically because of one of your Facebook posts. ” The gentleman working said “Okay. ”. No “Can I help you?” as I looked over ever item they had in the store. I wasn’t expecting a red carpet. But I thought saying how I’d heard about said item I bought might help their marketing. I’m not mad, just disappointed. All of that said, great store and today’s interaction was likely a one off.
